Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern quotes, orders, and purchases of custom-manufactured wood components from Harman Wood Products, Inc. (“Harman Wood Products,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting a quote or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.
Custom, Made-to-Order Products
All products manufactured by Harman Wood Products — including cabinet doors, drawer fronts, drawer boxes, and mouldings — are custom-built, made-to-order wood components. Products are manufactured according to the specifications provided by the customer and are not stocked as standard inventory.
Customer Specifications
Customers are responsible for providing accurate dimensions, styles, hardwood preferences, and other specifications at the time of inquiry or order. Harman Wood Products manufactures components based on the specifications provided; we are not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate or incomplete specifications supplied by the customer.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are prepared based on the specifications and information provided by the customer. Pricing is specific to each order and is not published as a standard price list. Quotes are valid for the period stated at the time they are issued, and pricing is subject to change if order specifications change.
Order Approval
Production begins only after an order and its specifications have been reviewed and approved by both the customer and Harman Wood Products. Any changes to an approved order are subject to review and may affect pricing and scheduling.
Payment and Deposits
Orders are invoiced directly to the customer. A deposit may be required before production begins on certain orders, with the balance due according to the terms stated on the invoice. Specific payment terms will be confirmed with each order.
Changes and Cancellations
Because components are built to order, requests to change or cancel an order may not be possible once production has begun. Any change or cancellation request should be made as early as possible and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Materials and Natural Variation
Our products are made from natural hardwoods. Variations in grain, color, and texture are inherent to wood and are not considered defects. Customers should expect natural variation between individual pieces, even within the same order.
Production Schedules
Because every order is custom-manufactured, production schedules vary based on order scope, specifications, and current production commitments. Estimated timelines, where provided, are estimates only and are confirmed directly with the customer.
Shipping and Delivery
Where shipping or delivery is arranged, responsibility for the product transfers to the customer or the customer’s carrier upon pickup or handoff for shipment, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Shipping costs and arrangements are confirmed with each order.
Inspection of Completed Orders
Customers should inspect completed orders promptly upon receipt or pickup and report any concerns as soon as possible so that they can be addressed.
Returns and Replacements
Because products are custom-manufactured to order, returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. Where a component does not conform to the approved specifications, we will work with the customer toward an appropriate replacement or correction.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Harman Wood Products, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the sale or use of its products. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
